When giving or selling a Christmas ornament, it is nice to include a display stand. Brazing or welding rods are a good source of stiff wire and can be purchased economically from a welding supply store. Five thirty-seconds-inch steel is stiff enough to make a reasonable stand without appearing clunky. I bend the wire using a jig so that I can get a uniform appearance.
